Michael has worked with university programs, public schools, and summer camps across the country. As a guest artist, he is available for performances, workshops, and masterclasses on all aspects of percussion. Private Teaching

With experience teaching students at all levels of development, Michael is passionate about supporting the unique talents of each student in his studio. His approach to teaching focuses on highlighting student interests while providing a clear path to development for any knowledge gaps. Michael champions the well-rounded percussionist, bringing a deep knowledge of instruction on snare drum, timpani, marimba, orchestral percussion, and drum set. He has also developed a thorough curriculum for congas, timbales, batá, pandeiro, and Brazilian percussion, and frequently incorporates these instruments in lessons. College music admissions consulting

For over a decade, Michael has seen multiple angles of the college music admissions process. As a faculty member, he has evaluated hundreds of applicants on their college music journey. In his private studio, he has helped dozens of students successfully prepare for their music school auditions through repertoire selection, mock auditions and interviews, essay coaching, and much more.
